Business travelers can not avoid traveling with laptops. But a lot of problems exist during the travel, such as loss, damage, defilement, poor connection and so on.
This article offers you some tips to prevent these troubles.

I. Avoid laptop theft
1. Don't let your laptop out of sight. Never leave it unattended.

2. Pack it inside your carry-on bag instead of carrying it alone in an expensive laptop case.

3. Lock your laptop case.

4. Attach a tag on the bottom of your laptop. If it is stolen and found, you can easily recognize it.

5. Put your laptop on the conveyor belt to be X-rayed when the person before you is finished, so that you can pick it up right after it comes out at the other end of the belt.

6. Place it on your lap or beside your feet rather than place it on the overhead bin on the plane.

7. Sometimes the value of your data stored in your laptop is more than that of the machine, so keep a back-up of important files.

1. A compatible DC power adapter

2. An extra battery. Note that extra laptop batteries can only be packed in checked baggage

3. Wireless Notebook Card for wireless network connection

4. A telephone adapter and Ethernet cable wired network connection

III. Tips on security using
1. Bring the original invoice and receipt if you are going on an international travel.

2. Update the security applications and software before you go on a trip.

3. Buy a laptop insurance before the trip in case anything unwelcome happened.

4. Make sure you have a strong password to log in to your operating system at startup.
