Choosing a cruise line is easy. You can talk to a travel agent, research a related website, checking an itinerary and passenger demographics. After selecting a cruise line, you can find a corresponding itinerary of interest and figure out where this line starts and ends. A close-to-home port is recommended because it can reduce your travel time and costs. The real fun and time-consuming part is to pick a cabin category, dinner preference, seat, and book shore excursion, spa treatments and more diverse activities on some luxury cruise ships.

Onboard the ship
Once you board the ship, it is time to relish the scene on the way and totally relax. Making friends, taking photos, walking along the shore after the ship being pulled over.

Understand jargon
People on cruise ships use their own words and rituals to talk about things on ships. Understanding some jargon will help you out when you are confused by their words.

Do you know how to say the front, back, left and right of a ship?

Of course, it is not just front, back, left or right! Keep in mind that when somebody says the 'bow' means the front and the rear is the 'stern'; when it refers the 'port' (yes, port!), it means the left side of the ship; and 'starboard' is the right side of the deck.

Deck! Yes, instead of the floor!

Where is your bedroom's location in the boat? No, never say the silly 'bedroom' and 'boat'! Say stateroom/cabin and ship!
