How to Choose a Cruise

When you think about having a cruise vacation, the first thing you should decide is to choose a proper cruise line.

Which line do you prefer? The one to the tropical area or the frigid zone? Where are you interested in? Overseas or inland scene? If you choose, for example, an overseas line, it requires your passport, health insurance and even vaccine certification and so on, which may be troublesome. So think and compare carefully.

Do you care about the weather and seasons? Scenes of some lines vary in different seasons and even in different weather. Moreover, bargains can be offered in slack seasons, which can save you a lot sometimes. Tickets in summer are relatively hard and expensive to book.

What kind of cruise ship you'd prefer? If you don't like the cruise, you will not have a fabulous personal experience and buy its tickets again. So think about this in three points:

ship class -- Budget, premium or luxury? Of course, the more you pay the higher level of service and better experience you will have.
dress codes -- Some cruise ships have dress requirement and assigned times for meals. If you hate that, don't choose those ships.
style -- Do they have services for baby boomers? Are they kids-friendly? Are they casual?

Ship Conditions
Ship size really matters. How many passengers can it take, how many cabins it have are all the things you should consider. Smaller ships can dock at smaller ports and offer a more personalized experience. Larger cruise ships are more likely to have longer routes that are probably overseas.

Cabin Conditions
Check carefully about your cabin information from the itinerary. How are they located on the ship? Do they have bathrooms? Are they equipped with a basin? A veranda? Has good ventilation?

Is there a grand view room? Surely, prices are different in terms of the room type you select. These factors may influence your cruise life, so make sure that you choose the most appropriate stateroom.

More tips to compare when you choose a cruise include listening to travel agents' advice, considering your own budgets, comparing the prices from different travel agents and cruise lines, checking if they have swimming pools, spas, playgrounds, theaters and so on.
