Before you take on a plane, it is very necessary to get to know the rules about what you can and cannot take in your luggage (including hand luggage and check luggage).
Many items are not allowed to take in any of the luggage. Some items can only be packed into your check-in luggage. After several terrorism threats found in big airports, many items used to be allowed are restricted now, especially the liquids. Failed to follow the rules you will be held up by airport security. So make sure you understand this by checking their websites and calling their customer service lines.

Besides, luggage weight is another key tip to keep in mind when packing. Every air line has their different weight restrictions in terms of different airplanes, classes, ticket types and so on. Normally, the tickets you are holding (paper ticket/e-ticket) can tell you the upper-limit weight your tickets permit. And remember try to travel light!

Reconfirm the Tickets Days Ahead of Your Flight
Sometimes flights change after the tickets have been booked. If you haven't reconfirm your tickets, you may be responsible to the possible missing of the flight. If you do contact the airline, there is a possibility that you will be shifted to another flight because your flight before has been canceled.
Therefore, keep their customer service number and check the timing of the flights a couple of days ahead of your flight time in order to avoid any loss.

Arrive Early for Check in
Another important tip to remember. Arriving at the airport early is a routine for air travelers. Usually, people arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of the departure time for a domestic flight and 2-3 hours ahead for an international flight. That means you can have enough time to solve the problem and still have time to check in if something goes wrong. If nothing is wrong, then why not have a cup of coffee and enjoy your farewell chat with your families and friends?
