Well, this was not easy, because an underwater camera can cost you much. Things are getting easier as many manufacturers are offering underwater cases for most digital cameras. With an underwater camera case, you can take your cameras to the depth of the sea.

Underwater camera cases come in different types, and the simplest kind will be a waterproof plastic bag. And this case needs to be waterproof, airtight, dustproof, crush-resistant and designed to protect your valuable gear from all the elements.

These cases can be made of mental with plastic handles and glass lenses, so they should also be rustproof, pest-proof, and chemical resistant to oils, fuels and solvents.
Your underwater camera case may also have removable Accuform foam in the interior. This vertically pre-scored, high-density foam provides a snug fit to keep your equipment safe from possible impacts.

Canon has a collection of underwater cases from WP-DC1 to WP-DC800 that are specially designed to protect PowerShot Digital Camera from sea water and sand. The prices are around $200, and they usually have a maximum depth of about 130 ft. (40m).
