Messenger bag is a sack with a strap that's worn over one shoulder and rests on the lower back.
With a rectangle shape, it's popular for its portability and convenience. In the form of a large front flap, the closure of the bag usually folds with Velcro, buckles or other kinds of fasteners. It is easy and quick to get your stuff in the bag. When wearing the bag, you're allowed to loosen or tighten the main strap to achieve the max comfort. Sometimes you will find a chest or waist strap, preventing the bag from swinging around when you are on the run.

Materials used in messenger bags are often more durable and water-resistant than those in traditional bags. In the past messenger bags were usually made of breathable fabrics like cotton canvas, which can enhance air flow in the panels and make them disperse perspiration better.

It's ounce for ounce more durable than any other fabrics. And you'll find 14oz. or 18oz. vinyl tarp or truck inner lining for watertightness.
