Traveling with Garuda Indonesia, customers on board are entitled to baggage allowance per person according to the cabin class and the age of the passengers.
If you are a member of Garuda Frequent Flyer, you will enjoy other privileges, such as free baggage allowance for Silver Card 5 Kgs on executive class (international Services). The incapacitated passengers are allowed to have one wheelchair and/or other assisting devices free. Besides, if you have paid the F class fare, but travels on C or Y class service, the free baggage allowance shall be applicable to the F class service.

In addition to the checked baggage allowance, each passenger can carry hand baggage which is suitable to be placed on the close overhead rack or under the passenger's seat (the maximum overall dimensions of the baggage are 56cm in length, 45cm in width, and 25cm in depth). Other unchecked items must meet the free baggage allowance requirement.

Garuda will charge for excess baggage, but the rate varies for international sector, domestic sector and combined domestic/ international sector.
Garuda has regulations for sporting equipments, including but not limited to golfing, surf board, bicycle and skiing equipments may be included into the items counted by the Free Baggage Allowance for some passengers according to their actual fare paid. For others, excess baggage of sporting equipment up to 15 kilograms will be charged in terms of the special rate.
