Except for common services, most Irish airlines also provide special travel assistance to those customers who need special help.

Infants, children, pregnant women, disabled people and the like can all enjoy their happy air trips.

Generally speaking, the requirements should be reported to the airlines at the time of booking and no late than 48 hours before departure.

Travel with Infants
If you are traveling with infant, you can carry one fully collapsible pushchair for free and it can be used up to the entrance to the plane. After landing, your pushchair will be ready at the aircraft steps.

Baby changing facilities are also available on board. Infant seatbelts are provided on aircraft and individual assistance can be offered by the cabin crew. Special meals for children are also available.

Expectant Mothers
Expectant mothers must transport under some regulations.

Ryanair restricts travel beyond the end of the 36th week for uncomplicated single pregnancies, and for twins, triplets etc, beyond the end of the 32nd week.

Once your pregnancy has entered its 28th week, you should produce a healthy certification from your obstetrician, stating the pregnancy is uncomplicated and confirming the expected date of delivery.

And most Irish airlines offer similar services as that by Ryanair.

Blind Passengers
As a rule, a maximum of 4 disabled passengers can be carried per flight for safety. This restriction allows the cabin crews to attend to each disabled traveler during an emergency evacuation.

Blind men can travel with an assistance dog on certain routes. Aer Lingus allows up to three and Ryanair allows up to two assistant dogs per flight.

Passengers with Medical Equipments
Gel/Dry battery operated wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walking frames can be carried free of charge.

And Aer Lingus will notify your departure and arrival airports for a carry on service for immobile passengers who cannot make their own way to the seat.

Plus, a passenger who dependents on a Portable Oxygen Concentrator or a Portable Dialysis Machine may carry the machine and ancillary equipment free of charge.
