Many Greece airline companies have introduced sophisticated luggage handling systems to meet passengers'

Free Check in Luggage Allowance
The amount of luggage that you can take with you free of charge is determined by the number of pieces and the weight. When you travel with Aegean airlines, you should pay attention to different classes' limits. Economy class passengers are entitled to carry one piece of luggage weighing up to 15 kilos on domestic flights and up to 20 kilos on international flights, to be handed over at check-in, while business class passengers can carry a piece weighing up to 20 kilos on domestic flights and up to 30 kilos on international flights.

Hand luggage Allowance
Aegean Airlines hand luggage allowance is also categorized by classes. Customers of economy class can carry one hand luggage, weighing no more than 8 kilos and measuring no more than 55L x 40H x 20W (cm). If you're business class passengers, you can carry on board up to two pieces of hand luggage. But the second handbag should be no larger than 45L x 35H x 20W (cm) and may not exceed 5 kilos. Olympic Airlines is tighter with hand luggage limits. Only one piece of luggage is allowed as cabin luggage, the dimensions of which must not exceed 56L x 36H x 23W (cm) and the maximum weight should not be more than 8 kg.

Excess Luggage Charge
If you wish to take more items than the permitted free allowance, they can be transported as excess luggage for an additional fee. Usually, charge depends on the weight and the destination. For Olympic Airlines passengers, it varies from 0.29 to 1.65 euro per kg within Greece, from 5.00 to 32.25 euro per kg for Europe and Middle East, from 58.70 to 130.00 euro per extra piece for Canada and the USA.
