Packing up your luggage for a trip is often an art. Many people have a casual attitude to this important subject and often endure avoidable inconveniences during their journey.
The following tips and tricks can help you understand the art of packing your carry on luggage and make your future trips more pleasurable.

1. Organized packing

Most often, what happens is that we do not really pack our bags. We just collect the items and throw them into the bags. When there is more to be put into the bags, we start looking for space and just insert them wherever space permits. But, organizing your packing has several advantages. The major advantage from organized packing is quick and easy retrieval. In certain circumstances, you can even end up saving a whole bag full of space. Here are some steps to help you with organized packing.

2. Categorizing

Gather the items which you intend packing and categorize them. All your clothing should be folded and piled into a single size. All electronic devices go into their respective sleeves and fragile stuff is treated separately.

3. Using the separators

The categorized luggage should now be separated. Luggage separators work best for this purpose, and if you do not have them, simply grab some plastic bags thick enough to stand the function. Different sizes of these bags will be even more helpful. The categorized stuff now goes into different bags. This will give you two major advantages - one is making retrieval instantaneous, and two is protection to the electronic devices and clothing.

4. Maximum utilization of capacity

Once all items are separated and placed in the bags, the next step is putting them into the luggage. There are some tricks involved at this stage. Your electronic gadgets and other fragile items should be on the top of other stuff. The fragile items, if any can also be wrapped in your clothing to afford additional protection. On some occasions, we have just one or two items left to be placed inside the luggage and there is no space.
What is the solution? Look for any prepacked items such as gifts or toy boxes. Remove the packing and allow only the content to save that little bit of extra space and you save an additional baggage.

5. The Must haves

Your carry on baggage must contain your travel documents, valuables, credit cards, mobile phone, chargers for your electronic gadgets, and other important stuff should always find place in your carry on luggage only.
