Is there a liquid restriction on carry-on lugage?

Yes, there is. Packing for air travel requires advance planning and consideration, for there are restrictions on carry-on luggage including size, weight, liquid etc.

Liquid restriction

- Passengers only can carry a limited quantity of liquids with them including lotions, pastes, cosmetics, gels etc. Generally, the quantity should be less than three ounces. Large volumes of liquid products need to be packed in the checked luggage.

- All liquid must be stored in a single, clear, and re-sealable plastic bag. The dimensions of the bag are not larger than 8"*8". You can get the bag at the counter of the airport. Make sure that the container for liquid should fit inside the bag well, so that the bag can be fastened.

- Each passenger only can bring one clear, re-sealable plastic bag on board, which must be x-rayed.

There are 3-1-1 kits that help you get through the security line in US airports. 3-1-1 toiletry kits are designed to meet the 3-1-1 rules of transportation security administration, standing for three ounces of liquid.
