What's the packing fashion for backpackers?

To summarize the packing fashion for backpackers, that would be keeping lightweight and also versatile.
Savvy backpackers find there's no use to give a long list of things you should or should not take along with. Essential clothing, comfortable and durable footwear, and a reliable bag are the basic. And you should also pack those essentials that you've long been relying on like knives, or first aid kits. Just have some rules in mind and get packed.

- Pack according to the bag's frame

When you are backpacking, the bag is everything. It should be large, durable enough to store stuff and packed full, bulky to give no room for souvenirs.

For backpacks with internal frame, give a notice to their separate compartments (usually at the bottom) for sleeping bags. You can also add pillows or towels if the compartments are roomy enough.

And for those with external frame, you need to get all the heavy things (such as the sleeping bags) up higher to get the weight positioned over your hip.

- What to pack in the bag

Take it easy. There won't be a long list of essential items here. Just a reminder of some tips on things for packing. Besides those basic essential mentioned in the beginning, you should also include stuff that will keep you up with unstable weather like umbrellas, baseball hats or sarong.

Electronic things like cameras, torches or calculators can be also packed. And remember to place items you need to access quickly at the top compartments, such as snacks, or first aid kits.
