How to pack your car trunk safely and effectively?

Proper packing facilitates a smooth trip.
The same goes for road trip! Car drivers don't need to drag their luggage anywhere. The vehicle mainly the trunk will be a huge luggage holder if it's well packed.

Basic Safety Packing Principle

Push heavy items tight up against the back seat and make sure there's no chance for them to slide backward. Otherwise they will turn into much more weight bursting into the back seat in a crash.

Heavy suitcases and other regular-shaped hefty items can be stacked to keep them stay on the previous position and save more space.

And fill up the empty space around heavy items with light stuff like duffel bags, pillows and more. This is not just out of safe consideration. It helps to fully utilize the space of your trunk.

Effective Packing Tips

1. Before packing, have a check on the car trunk and remove the things you won't need on your trip.

2. Place all the bags and items you're going to take during your trip around the back your car to avoid any omission.

3. Make a simple division among your luggage items according to their weights. Divide them into heavy, medium and light weight items and malleable items. Also pay special attention to items with odd shapes.

4. Load odd-shaped items like balls and beach equipment to your car first. They take more space than square or rectangular items do. Concentrate them at one area of your trunk to save more space.

5. After the odd-shaped items, pack your trunk in the order: heavy, medium, light weight items to malleable items.

6. First aid kits, road-side emergency kit and other things for emergency should be packed within easy reach.
