What to consider when buying a personal jet airplane?

Personal jet airplanes become not that uncommon today that wealthy travelers have been flying in style on private jets.
Different private jets made by different manufacturers are available in the market, which makes choosing a jet airplane a tough task. There are a couple of things to consider when buying a personal jet airplane.

- Figure out how many hours you want to fly each year.

It is not recommended to get full ownership of a personal jet unless you fly more than 350 hours each year. If possible, you can consider renting an airplane when necessary or choosing fractional ownership instead.

- Consider how many people you are going to transport on each trip

Working out the number of people you will transport on each trip to choose the right seat capacity. Jets come in a variety of sizes. Generally, a jet can take at least 5 person and 12 at most.

- Determine the average miles you would like to fly without refueling

Select the right flying range based on the average miles you want to fly each trip. You can pick light jets for short distances. The flight range of midsize jets ranges from 2000 miles to 3000 miles while large executive jets can fly 4000 miles or more non-stop.

- Pay attention to the hidden costs

You should remember that a private jet comes with huge hidden costs like insurance, fuel cost, etc. Plus, it always takes a great deal of money to keep it in good condition.

- Consider used jet

Consider a well-maintained used jet since it can work just as well while costing less money. It's really possible to purchase a used jet at half the price of a new one.
