When shopping for Victorinox Swiss Army Knife, you should be careful since there are lots of replicas which look almost identical in the market. This article provides a couple of ways to tell if a Swiss Army Knife is real.

Look for Victorinox's emblem

Check the surface of the knife carefully to find the emblem of Victorinox. Any Victorinox product has the famous emblem - a Swiss Cross in a shield - etched or printed on it. You can spot a fake one if there isn't any emblem.

Check the blade

Authentic Swiss Army Knives are manufactured by Victorinox or Wenger and would have their trademarks etched on the blades. If you can't see any words like "Victorinox", "Swiss Made" or "Victorinox Swiss Army" on blades, this knife is definitely not made by Victorinox.

You should also pay close attention to every letter etched on the blades. Replicas could also come with these etched words, but they might use misspelled words.

Note the price

Victorinox has claimed that prices of authentic Victorinox Swiss Army Knife range from $17 to $120. You should suspect if the knife is a knockoff when a much lower price is given.
