How to dry wet leather boots?

Act fast if your leather boots get wet! Because exposing to moisture might cause bad smell.
With the following tips, you would not feel panic when rescuing your leather boots from water.

Tips on drying wet leather boots

- Remove mud and stains on your wet leather boots as soon as possible with a dry clean cloth or brush.

- Dry the leather surface with an absorptive towel. Use another towel to get extra moisture off if necessary.

- Remove the insoles, laces and accessories on your boots. Dry them separately if they are wet as well.

- Stuff your leather boots with newspapers and change them often. Newspapers would be helpful to absorb even more water.

- After most of the water has been removed, place your leather boots in a cold and dry area away from sunlight and heat. It would take a couple of days to allow your leather boots to dry naturally.

- Check your boots to see if there are any spots left on the surface of leather as your boots dry. If they really get some stains just wipe them down gently.

Additional advice

- To avoid any wrinkles or cracks, you should place them out as flat as possible.

- A fan would speed up the drying slightly. So, turn on it if you have one.

- Boot Dryer may also be an option that you can consider.
