What is a throw blanket?

Varying in size, a throw blanket is a medium sized blanket, usually about 3*5 feet.
The main difference between throw blankets and other blankets is throw blankets are edged with fringe. This kind of blankets is often in decorative colors and patterns and used for home decor or extra warmth outside of bed.

Materials

Throw blankets are available in various materials including 100% cotton, wool, cotton-poly blend, rayon, chenille etc. Today, throw blankets made of chenille are more popular, although less durable than cotton ones.

Throw blankets are usually made in different colors and designs. You can find them in holiday-themed designs, cartoon designs etc. These blankets not only can keep you warm, but also can decorate your home. Here are some ways to decorate your rooms with throw blankets.
