Southwest Airlines Group Travel Program: Highlights & How to Reserve

Southwest Group Travel Program works for any group with a minimum of 10 members, such as school groups, religious groups, family groups, and sport groups. Groups with advance reservation can receive special discounts off the published prices on tickets. Moreover, there will never be Saturday night stay, minimum stay requirements, or blackout dates for group travelers.

Another highlight of this program is the unlimited name changes. That means passengers have the privilege to change the name unlimitedly up to 72 hours ahead of the departure, which avoids the hassles that if any in the group has happened to be unavailable for the flight.

Besides, Southwest Airlines furnishes one free ticket for your group's itinerary for every 40 reservations in the group. However, please note that this free ticket doesn't include the federal exercise tax ($3.70 per takeoff and landing), the airport-assessed passenger facility charges up to $9, and September 11th Security Fee of $5 one-way maximum.

Make Reservation

Any group interested in this program can directly make reservation by calling toll free number of Southwest Airlines (800-433-5368) from 8 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday. Southwest requires neither upfront payment when passengers create a group reservation, nor extra fees for booking, ticketing or changing.

After the initial booking is finished over the phone, a 10% deposit will be collected to hold your reservation. Only cashier's checks, approved travel agency checks and money orders are accepted for reservation. No credit card please!

Final payment must be completed on or before the deadline of final payment. To finish the payment, customers can use credit cards, cashier's checks, or travel agency checks. Please take the particular note that if you choose payment by credit card, call at 214-792-4658, or download, fill out and fax the Letter of Authorization to 214-792-4793.
