The following items are prohibited from entry into China according to Chinese customs regulations.

# Counterfeit money and forged securities;
# Printed matters, negatives, records, films, audio and video recordings, laser optical video-discs, computer storage media and other articles containing materials deemed "harmful to China politically, economically, culturally, or ethically";
# All kinds of rank poisons;
# Opium, morphine, heroin, marijuana, and any other kinds of paralyzing drugs or psychotropic drugs;
# Bacteria, harmful insects, animals, plants (and their products), food, drugs, and other articles from epidemic- stricken areas or districts if such articles may be harmful to human beings and animals;
# All firearms, imitation weapons, ammunitions and explosives;
